An introduction to Tibetan Yoga and Meditation suitable for beginners. For anyone interested in developing balance and well-being in their lives. It is a gentle healing system, which relieves stress, transforms negative patterns, and helps us to be balanced and healthy. It increases our enjoyment and appreciation of life and heals both our bodies and minds, bringing their energies together to function smoothly and harmoniously. Based on Tibetan teachings for living in harmony with physical and universal laws, this practice develops our ability to heal and energize our entire being. It teaches us what it means to just be. The practice includes stillness, movement, postures, breathing exercises, self-massage, chanting and visualization.

75 minutes per week to:
– Reconnect with your body
– Be open to feeling
– Develop relaxation
– Contact the power of breath
– Energise your body and mind
– Awaken to your full potential

Wednesdays 6:30pm to 7:45pm
$25 for a drop-in class or $130 for the full 6 weeks

Zenmen

A 6 week course covering yoga, stress management and mindfulness. Each week we build on a manageable yoga practice, as well as introduce useful techniques and topics to assist in viewing life with fresh eyes.

Zenmen – A space where men can explore the benefits of yoga, mindfulness and meditation in a group environment. A space to discuss and ask questions and develop and discover tools to make life an enjoyable, stress free and connected experience.

What to expect:
– Sessions tailored for men;
– Discuss posture and alignment;
– Learn how to correctly stretch and create a yoga practice that is specifically useful for men;
– Learn breathing techniques (you’ll be amazed at how simply changing your breathing can change the way you feel!);
– Discuss changing perspective on key aspect of life;
– Take away useful techniques and topics to assist in viewing life through fresh eyes;
– Additional discussions lead by guests facilitators.

The benefits of yoga, mindfulness and meditation include; better sleep, improved relationships, more clarity, less stress, improved performance and a sense of empowerment. Oh yes, and increased flexibility and mobility.

When we are aligned with ourselves, with our passion, we are radiant. We live joyfully and full of vitality. The winter months are a fantastic time to move inward. To become clear on our direction and desires. To ‘do the work’, plant the seeds, so we can truly enjoy the fruits of this work.

The winter radiance retreat is an opportunity to take time out, to nourish your body and mind, to connect to what excites you and to get clear on the next step.

Enjoy daily yoga to vitalise and connect to yourself, your body and breath; Yoga Nidra, to release and plant those subconscious seeds to aid manifestation; Vision board session to get a tangible representation of your deeper desires; and time to write, reflect and rest. Walk in nature and rejuvenate, breathe and be still so you can hear your truths.


Co – facilitated by Wendy (Sankalpa) from Evolve Workshops (and Pranabar) and Xime Tamburo from YogaStop.

Swami Sankalpananda Saraswati (Wendy Vermeulen) is an internationally qualified Yoga and Pilates instructor, personal trainer and life coach with almost 30 years’ experience in wellness, fitness and mindfulness training. Sankalpananda also teaches anatomy on Yoga teacher training courses, runs regular retreats and facilitates workshops throughout the year as well as running Pranabar – Meditation and Yoga studio. It is her insatiable appetite to learn and expand that continues to evolve her teachings. Over the last  5 years she has been delving into the learnings of Fascia; studying with one of the world leaders in Fascia studies, Dr Robert Schleip, and neuroscience, studying with teachers such as Dr Joe Dispenza, Dr Bruce Lipton and many inspirational scientists. Bridging the gap between the esoteric and the scientific realm. Sankalpanada’s approach is to bring in the awareness of the multi-dimensional aspect of our existence in a fun and down to earth way.

 

Xime has always been interested in how people operate and has a strong background in human behaviour, and the relationship between the mind, body and spirit. Xime strongly believes that we have the power to create our own reality every day, and the work she does is based on helping people move towards realising their unlimited potential. Xime works on helping people to connect to their uniqueness, remove mental and emotional obstacles that prevent them from achieving the life they desire, and to be mindful of all aspects of who they are, as with that clarity they can respond rather than react.

Xime works a lot with intention setting, as she believes the power of intention is the first step to move you towards your deepest wishes and desires. Everything that happens in the universe begins with intention; an intention has the power to transform a dream into reality and that reality can be the one you want for yourself. Xime’s classes often involve guiding participants to develop a deeper relationship with themselves; body/mind/breath and spirit, as yoga is the UNION between all aspects of who we are; observing our thoughts and emotions, our breath patterns and our bodily sensations, as they are all messengers of our state of being.
